Overview

LinkPulse ("we", "our", or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how LinkPulse handles your data when you use our Chrome extension.

Data Collection

LinkPulse does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

Specifically:

• No browsing history is collected or transmitted
• No URLs you scan are sent to external servers
• No personal information is requested or stored
• No cookies are used
• No analytics or tracking scripts are included
• No user accounts are required

Local Data Storage

All data processed by LinkPulse remains on your device:

• Scan Results — Temporarily held in memory during the current session only
• Scan History (Pro) — Stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB; never transmitted
• License Key (Pro) — Stored in Chrome's local storage for activation verification only

Network Requests

LinkPulse makes the following network requests:

• Link Checking — Direct HTTP requests to the URLs found on your current page, to verify their status. These requests go directly to the target websites.
• License Verification (Pro only) — A single request to our license verification worker to validate your purchase. This sends only your license key and product identifier.

No other network requests are made. All link analysis happens entirely in your browser.

Permissions

LinkPulse uses the minimum permissions necessary:

• activeTab — Access the current page only when you click the extension icon
• scripting — Inject our content script to visually mark broken links
• storage — Store your Pro license key locally
• alarms — Schedule optional daily check reminders (Pro feature)
• contextMenus — Provide "Check this link" right-click option

Third-Party Services

LinkPulse uses the following third-party service:

• Gumroad — For processing Pro license purchases. We do not receive or store your payment information.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, share, or transfer any user data to third parties. Period.

Children's Privacy

LinkPulse does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
