🔒 Privacy First — No Data Collection

SnapForge is built with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Your screenshots, browsing history, and personal information remain entirely on your device.

What We Collect

Nothing. SnapForge does not:

Collect any personal information
Track your browsing history or web activity
Store screenshots on any remote server
Use analytics or telemetry
Send any data to third parties
Use cookies or local storage for tracking

How SnapForge Works

All screenshot capture and annotation processing happens locally on your device using Chrome's built-in APIs and the Canvas API. No data leaves your computer at any point.

Screenshots are captured using chrome.tabs.captureVisibleTab() — a built-in Chrome API
Image processing (stitching, cropping, annotation) uses the browser's Canvas API
Saved files go directly to your local Downloads folder via chrome.downloads
Settings are stored locally using chrome.storage.local

Permissions Used

activeTab — To access the currently active tab for screenshot capture
scripting — To inject scroll scripts for full-page capture
downloads — To save screenshot files to your computer
storage — To store your settings and Pro license status locally

Pro License Verification

When you activate a Pro license, the extension makes a single network request to verify your license key. This request only sends your license key — no browsing data, screenshots, or personal information is transmitted.

Purpose: Verify purchase validity
No personal data is collected or stored server-side

Third-Party Services

SnapForge does not use any third-party services, analytics, or external APIs for its core functionality. The extension is entirely self-contained.

Updates to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with an updated "Last Updated" date. We will never change our core commitment to not collecting user data.
